Let me introduce myself…
Hi there, I'm Kayla!
I’m a naturopathic doctor dedicated to empower people across the globe to regain their health and freedom!
I spent my early adult years in a fearful and tearful time when my father struggled with an unknown illness.
Seeing him go from a happy, joking father to unable to get out of bed for weeks from fatigue and pain was heartbreaking. It took a toll on our whole family, and it was only after our family worked together to change our diet, daily routine, and find all areas of what feeds our bodies that we all started to see my father improve and all of our lives regain stability.
Our experience inspired me to help others regain their health and to share what I and my family have learned through our firsthand experience!
In my 15 years experience working in the nutritional therapy and natural wellness realm along with my clinical education, I have seen many people, including my father, regain their health and get back to their life passions with naturopathic medicine.
I’ve learned healing is a team activity and I treasure partnering with people along this journey. Transforming the fear and uncertainty into confidence, clarity, and embodied healing is what you can expect from working together.
You can read more details of my and my father’s journey below.
The Road That Brought Me Here
Dear Lovely Human,
It’s a delight to see you here and I would like to offer a brief introduction of myself.
As a young child I began experiencing health issues, they began to crop up as asthma, stomach aches, and eventually peaked with my parents bringing me to the emergency room multiple times from the strange pain I experienced. Eventually I would be diagnosed with a digestive disorder and my pediatrician educated my parents to the best of his ability on how to support my health. However, having a father who investigated natural treatments meant I was on my road to recovery with diet changes and at home support with methods such as castor oil packs. For years this helped, but it wasn’t the complete solution and it wasn’t until I was an adult and learned how to eat for my body, recognized the emotional issues which were entangled with my physical symptoms, and began to learn to listen to the language my body was speaking that I started to see real healing.
I went from severely overweight with daily gas, bloating, and ever fluctuating digestion to a calm, quiet stomached, normal digestion, regularly cycling, and health weighing woman. Thus grew my passion for teaching people how to learn the language of the body.
In the midst of my healing as a young adult, my father experienced a mysterious diagnosis which left him with daily fatigue, weakness, and barely able to get out of bed. As a nurse, he would walk himself down to the ER and after hours of testing would walk out with a prescription for an anxiety medication and the doctors telling him he’s a “healthy young man.” Without an answer as to the reason my father went from a happy-go-lucky man to a wisp of a man from severe weight loss and unable to work for multiple weeks at a time, we as a family were left to manage on our own. My father finally found a naturopathic doctor who was able to hold space for this diagnostic uncertainty while also offering support to help with the issues at hand in the waiting time.
Ultimately, my father was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, Sjogren’s Syndrome, though it took years to unveil this. Since, my father’s condition has entered full remission with naturopathic care and lifestyle changes. As his daughter, I couldn’t ignore this experience and the many others I’ve seen in my career.
Whether it’s an autoimmune condition, cancer, or an undiagnosed condition without clarity, I’ve experienced firsthand and observed numerous cases of healing and am passionate about supporting people through the healing journey.
We aren’t built to heal alone and in my practice I partner with you in order to help support you through a time which is often accompanied with feelings of fear and uncertainty. My ultimate goal, in addition to cultivating remission and recovery, is to shift this fear into empowerment and confidence. We see this through offering clarity around a diagnosis, treatment options, and the trajectory of your health. My role is to serve as the interpreter of the language your body speaks and be an advocate for your health walking step-by-step alongside you.
Wishing you well,
Dr. Kayla Szampruch
